Learn why we exist

Stanford House is a short- to medium-term residential support program operated by the Haymarket Foundation in Darlinghurst, NSW. The Haymarket Foundation took over the running of this facility from St Vincent’s Hospital in April 2025.
Funded by the South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD), Stanford House offers six beds for people living with HIV who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness. The program is designed for individuals who require low-level support to transition into permanent housing. Residents typically have existing case managers and active housing applications.
The program focuses on building independent living skills, reducing social isolation, and ensuring access to medical and psychosocial care. Intake and referral are overseen by ADAHPS, with eligibility prioritising NSW residents with HIV who are unable to live independently due to cognitive or physical impairments.
Stanford House provides a safe, supportive environment where residents can regain stability and work toward long-term housing and health outcomes.
