AOD Support Service

The AOD Support Service is a face-to-face and phone based service designed to help people access drug and alcohol interventions.

The AOD Support Service provides information and advice about available drug and alcohol interventions, as well as ongoing support for people who are waiting to access services.

Our information and advisory services are designed to assist individuals, family members, General Practitioners and other healthcare professionals in navigating the AOD sector and finding the right information about available treatment options.

Our ongoing support service works to provide assistance to individuals over the age of 18 with substance use to join and stay on a waiting list for a treatment service. Support services include; free intervention and therapy sessions, care coordination, service navigation support and advocacy.


Service details

Opening hours: The AOD Support Service is available from 8:00am to 4:00pm, Monday to Friday.

Entry Criteria: The AOD Support Service can provide ongoing support to individuals over the age of 18 who would like to access a Drug and Alcohol treatment service.  Our information and advice service is available to everyone, and is a great information service for family members who are experiencing problems from their substance use, General Practitioners and other health professionals who are seeking information on drug and alcohol services.

Accessing AOD Support Service: You can access the AOD Support Service via a warm referral from your case worker from an external service, by calling the number below, emailing the service or by visiting our office in Cathedral Street.
